Donation appeal
Dear Member, supporter and friends:
I would like to talk to you about my campaign and the fact that a campaign is very expensive.
From the office rent, over lawn signs (that are surprisingly expensive), over candidate cards and literature and the mailing cost, to newspaper ads and on-line ads, and more, a campaign costs several – to many tenth of thousands of dollars.
I would like to ask you to help with financing the campaign.
I would appreciate if you would give us a donation.
Political donations are tax deductible and you can get as much as 75% of the donation back at the end of the year with the donation receipt you will receive.
If you were willing to donate $ 100 – you would get $ 75 back at the end of the year.
If you were willing to donate $ 400 – you would get the $ 300 back at the end of the year.
The donations have to come from a personal account – Companies or unions cannot donate according to the new rules by elections Ontario.
The maximum a person can donate is $ 1,222. But any person in your household can donate.
If you want to know what your donation is being used for you can sponsor specific items.
- 12 small lawn signs – donate $ 40 (you cost is $ 10)
- 15 large lawn signs – donate $ 100 (your cost is $ 25)
- Mailing of 2,500 campaign flyers (of the 45,000 we will send out) – donate $ 400 (your cost is $ 100)
- Newspaper advertising package – donate $ 800
- Digital advertising package through OLP – donate $ 1,222
Whatever suits your budget- I really appreciate any donation.
